On Saturday night after the
con closed there was an art auction held across the street at the
Weston.
We took a few photos of the
artwork available to be bid on, but this is only a small sampling -
there was so much great work on display there was no way we could
have captured images of it al.
This pirate girl was one of
the first pieces sold that night.
This playful Batgirl by
Joe Pekar went for over $700.
Bernard Chang's stunning Elektra
painting sold for $2,750.
This amazing Scrooge
McDuck by
Don Rosa went for a bargain at a
mere $600.
As the start time for the
auction drew close the room began to fill up.
Once the auction started girls
dressed as Zatanna walked around the crowd showing each peice.
An awesome Ben Grimm painting.
One the two record setting
auctions was this Zatanna painting by
Adam Hughes that went for $8,000
(the other was a Black Cat by Mark Brooks that also sold for
$8,000).
